Chil­dren’s rights Fes­ti­val 2024

“Chil­dren’s right to be chil­dren” is the mot­to of the 17th Kinder­Rechte­Fest. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the TOLLHAUS will be trans­formed into a col­or­ful mar­ket­place for chil­dren and their rights. In addi­tion to the City Youth Com­mit­tee, the Child Pro­tec­tion Asso­ci­a­tion and the City Chil­dren’s Office, numer­ous oth­er orga­ni­za­tions from the city and dis­trict of Karl­sruhe will be there to stand up for chil­dren and their rights and put them cen­ter stage. There will be lots of hands-on activ­i­ties and activ­i­ties around the Mobibus, a small stage pro­gram, a deli­cious cake and snack buf­fet as well as var­i­ous infor­ma­tion stands and the oppor­tu­ni­ty to talk about chil­dren’s rights.

Chil­dren’s rights are enshrined in the UN Con­ven­tion on the Rights of the Child, which was adopt­ed by the Unit­ed Nations Gen­er­al Assem­bly on Novem­ber 20, 1989 and is cel­e­brat­ing its 35th anniver­sary this year.
The orga­niz­ers (Stadtju­gen­dauss­chuss e.V., Kinder­schutzbund, Stadtis­ches Kinder­büro and TOLLHAUS) are com­mit­ted to ensur­ing that chil­dren’s rights are real­ized in every­day life. They there­fore invite you to a col­or­ful after­noon that makes chil­dren and adults aware of chil­dren’s rights and moti­vates them to stand up for them.
