Integration courses are the most popular language courses. These courses assist entitled migrants in integrating into German economic, cultural, and social life. The integration courses are usually completed with a “German Test for Immigrants” (DTZ) examination, which leads to language level B1.
- New immigrants have the right to take an integration course once.
- Persons who have already lived in the country for a longer period of time, as well as EU citizens, may be admitted to the courses,within the limits of available places,
- Persons with German citizenship may be admitted to the courses,within the limits of available places, if they lack sufficient knowledge of the German language and are in particular need of integration.
