On the occa­sion of the fourth anniver­sary of Rus­si­a’s inva­sion of Ukraine, the ibz and the asso­ci­a­tion ‘Ukrain­er in Karl­sruhe DUV e. V.’ invite you to an infor­ma­tion and dis­cus­sion event.

The guest speak­er is renowned (photo)journalist Till May­er, who will present impres­sive pho­tographs and per­son­al impres­sions from Ukraine in his lec­ture ‘RESISTANCE – Ukraine’s strug­gle for free­dom’. The Bam­berg-based jour­nal­ist has been doc­u­ment­ing the war there since 2017 as a long-term project and has been trav­el­ling to Ukraine every month since the start of the large-scale inva­sion to report on resis­tance, war and peo­ple’s every­day lives. His work has won sev­er­al awards and has been pub­lished in exhi­bi­tions and pho­to and reportage books.

All inter­est­ed par­ties are cor­dial­ly invit­ed to spend this evening learn­ing about the back­ground and effects of the war and Ukraine’s ongo­ing resistance.
