The African Sum­mer Fes­ti­val in Karl­sruhe is an annu­al inter­cul­tur­al event that takes place in July and will be held this year from 18 to 20 July 2025. It offers a fas­ci­nat­ing pro­gramme that appeals to peo­ple of all ages.The 34th African Sum­mer Fes­ti­val takes its vis­i­tors on an unfor­get­table jour­ney through the African con­ti­nent with live­ly rhythms, a colour­ful ambi­ence and a vari­ety of deli­cious food.

The 34th African Sum­mer Fes­ti­val presents a three-day, diverse cul­tur­al pro­gramme start­ing on Fri­day, 18 July 2025. The aim is to give our guests a com­pre­hen­sive insight into the crafts­man­ship, exhi­bi­tions, fair trade and cul­ture of var­i­ous African coun­tries. This annu­al fes­ti­val offers a wealth of vari­ety, char­ac­terised by good humour and cheer­ful­ness, which is guar­an­teed from Fri­day 18 July to Sun­day 20 July by the par­tic­i­pa­tion of rep­re­sen­ta­tive music and dance groups from var­i­ous African coun­tries. They will intro­duce vis­i­tors to their respec­tive ways of life in a live­ly way. From Fri­day to Sun­day, the African atmos­phere will be char­ac­terised by music, enter­tain­ment and deli­cious food. The pro­gramme includes an African mar­ket, con­certs, live stage shows, exot­ic del­i­ca­cies, fash­ion shows, Afro-shop­ping, drum­ming and dance work­shops, games, bazaars and exhi­bi­tions by well-known African artists.
