The sit­u­a­tion of minori­ties in Syr­ia after Assad’s fall

After ten years, Kamal Sido secret­ly returned to Afrin, his home in north­west­ern Syr­ia. The Syr­i­an-Kur­dish region has been occu­pied by Turkey since 2018. What did he find there and how are the peo­ple in Afrin and oth­er regions of Syr­ia doing? The ques­tion of the return of refugees to Syr­ia and the con­di­tions asso­ci­at­ed with it will also be discussed.
