International Women’s Day – Karlsruhe
Politics? Not without us women!*
On the occasion of International Women’s Day – which this year coincides with the state elections in Baden-Württemberg – we are joining forces with the Internationales Begegnungszentrum (ibz) and SOZPÄDAL to host an event at TOLLHAUS.
Under the motto “Shift out of reverse”, we are putting women’s political demands in the spotlight and creating space for dialogue with female candidates running in the state elections.
Let’s move forward together.
Panel Discussion:
“Let’s shake things up – we are the majority!”
State election candidates Katrin Schütz (CDU), Meri Uhlig (SPD), Dr. Ute Leidig (The Greens), Louise Fessmann (The Left) and Alena Fink-Trauschel (FDP) will discuss key issues in women’s politics and respond to your questions.
Information Stands & Networking – from 6:30 pm
Discover the work of women’s organizations and associations in Karlsruhe at our information stands and connect with others committed to building a more just and equal society.
Join in!
Before and after the panel discussion, we will raise our voices together in Karlsruhe’s very first “Meckerchor” (complaints choir), guided by Tanja Krone. Together we will present our collected complaints, demands and visions.
Let’s be loud!
Closing with Power – FLINTA* only!
We’ll end the evening with a FLINTA-only disco starting at 10 pm*.
With music by DJ LêParmê, we’ll dance, recharge our energy and celebrate solidarity and community together.
