Train­ing as Elder­ly Care Assis­tant – Your Chance in Karlsruhe

Ger­many urgent­ly needs care work­ers. For peo­ple with a migra­tion back­ground, the train­ing as an elder­ly care assis­tant is a great oppor­tu­ni­ty to start a career and improve Ger­man lan­guage skills up to lev­el B2 at the same time.

At maxQ. Karl­sruhe, the train­ing lasts two years. Along­side the pro­fes­sion­al con­tent, par­tic­i­pants receive inten­sive Ger­man lessons – even if their lan­guage lev­el is low at the beginning.

Typ­i­cal tasks of an elder­ly care assis­tant (always under super­vi­sion of a qual­i­fied nurse):

• Sup­port­ing the care and assis­tance of elder­ly people
• Help­ing in nurs­ing homes, hos­pi­tals or at home
• Talk­ing and spend­ing time with elder­ly people
• Assist­ing with dai­ly activ­i­ties and rehabilitation

Good to know:

• Pos­si­ble even with­out a sec­ondary school diplo­ma. If you suc­cess­ful­ly com­plete the train­ing, you can obtain this qual­i­fi­ca­tion at the same time.
• Peo­ple with “Dul­dung” sta­tus can­not be deport­ed dur­ing the train­ing period.

Admis­sion requirements

• Ger­man lan­guage skills at least lev­el A2
• Good health and per­son­al suitability
• Sec­ondary school diplo­ma (also pos­si­ble with­out a school diploma)
