Free Roman­ian Lan­guage Class­es for Chil­dren and Teenagers in Karlsruhe

Dur­ing the 2026/2027 school year, Guten­bergschule Karl­sruhe will once again offer free Roman­ian lan­guage class­es for chil­dren and teenagers. The course “Roman­ian Lan­guage, Cul­ture and Region­al Stud­ies” gives stu­dents the oppor­tu­ni­ty to learn or improve their Roman­ian while also dis­cov­er­ing more about Roman­ian cul­ture and the country.

The free Roman­ian lan­guage course in Karl­sruhe is open to stu­dents aged 7 to 16 with Roman­ian roots, as well as chil­dren and teenagers who are inter­est­ed in the Roman­ian lan­guage and cul­ture for oth­er rea­sons.
Stu­dents from oth­er schools in Karl­sruhe can also take part.

The con­sular native-lan­guage course has been offered in Karl­sruhe since 2023. It is organ­ised as part of an ini­tia­tive of the Roman­ian gov­ern­ment, with the sup­port of the Con­sulate Gen­er­al of Roma­nia in Stuttgart, the Insti­tute of the Roman­ian Lan­guage, and in coop­er­a­tion with the Min­istry of Edu­ca­tion, Youth and Sports of Baden-Würt­tem­berg.
