Inter­na­tion­al Women’s Day – Karlsruhe

Pol­i­tics? Not with­out us women!*

On the occa­sion of Inter­na­tion­al Women’s Day – which this year coin­cides with the state elec­tions in Baden-Würt­tem­berg – we are join­ing forces with the Inter­na­tionales Begeg­nungszen­trum (ibz) and SOZPÄDAL to host an event at TOLLHAUS.

Under the mot­to “Shift out of reverse”, we are putting women’s polit­i­cal demands in the spot­light and cre­at­ing space for dia­logue with female can­di­dates run­ning in the state elections.

Let’s move for­ward together.

Pan­el Discussion:

“Let’s shake things up – we are the majority!”

State elec­tion can­di­dates Katrin Schütz (CDU), Meri Uhlig (SPD), Dr. Ute Lei­dig (The Greens), Louise Fes­s­mann (The Left) and Ale­na Fink-Trauschel (FDP) will dis­cuss key issues in women’s pol­i­tics and respond to your questions.

Infor­ma­tion Stands & Net­work­ing – from 6:30 pm

Dis­cov­er the work of women’s orga­ni­za­tions and asso­ci­a­tions in Karl­sruhe at our infor­ma­tion stands and con­nect with oth­ers com­mit­ted to build­ing a more just and equal society.

Join in!

Before and after the pan­el dis­cus­sion, we will raise our voic­es togeth­er in Karlsruhe’s very first “Meck­er­chor” (com­plaints choir), guid­ed by Tan­ja Kro­ne. Togeth­er we will present our col­lect­ed com­plaints, demands and visions.

Clos­ing with Pow­er – FLINTA* only!

We’ll end the evening with a FLINTA-only dis­co start­ing at 10 pm*.
With music by DJ LêPar­mê, we’ll dance, recharge our ener­gy and cel­e­brate sol­i­dar­i­ty and com­mu­ni­ty together.
