The External Relations and Strategic Marketing (SAM) unit, which reports directly to the Lord Mayor, coordinates and manages the associated cross-sectional tasks for the Karlsruhe city administration. SAM is the interface to the region, to Stuttgart, Berlin and Brussels and worldwide.

The SkF is a professional association, a women’s association and an association within the church.

The SkF Karlsruhe with about 200 professional employees and currently about 20 fields of work is managed by an honorary board, which is supported by a full-time management (as a member of the board) six department heads and administrative staff. Other women volunteers contribute their professional, personal and spiritual skills to the overall work of the association, so that volunteer and professional work complement each other.

The SkF is open to all women and men who would like to cooperate and who are willing to support its idealistic direction. Women of different ages and from all walks of life can volunteer in many areas of the association’s work. Life experience, everyday competence and spontaneity are required as prerequisites for helping to shape and change social situations and conditions. The local association is active in the fields of youth and family assistance, support, counselling and women’s shelter work. It also maintains two day care centers.

Ecumenical migration service jointly run by the Caritasverband Karlsruhe and the Diakonisches Werk.

The Lions Club Karlsruhe was founded on 10.11.1954. The charter celebration took place on 15.10.1955 in the Hotel Bellevue in Baden-Baden.

After the first Lions Club was founded in Germany in 1951/52, the Lions Club Karlsruhe is one of the oldest. Founding sponsor was the Lions Club Bern and founding president Günther Moninger.

The Bundeswehr is founded and the Federal Republic of Germany joins NATO.

In the LC Karlsruhe people from the most different professions met and meet again and again, who are and were partly active in leading positions of the Karlsruhe public life. Different presidents have shaped the club’s activities and programs during their terms, reflecting the diversity of directions and attitudes among the membership.

What has remained the same over time, however, is the lively and open exchange on topics from a wide variety of areas as well as the social commitment, especially for youth projects and for people in need; one focus of the work has traditionally been and will continue to be the promotion of projects in our city and our region.

I.d.E., Integration through Employment, understands its educational and service offer as practicing welcome culture and offers innovative concepts for the integration of migrants into German society and the German labour market.

Our core competence is in the field of immigrant integration.

We have extensive knowledge of the target group and offer functional and future-oriented language and further training courses.

The key to professional opportunities and social participation lies in the acquisition of linguistic expression and comprehension skills. All further integration and qualification processes build on this.

We are partners of the Agentur für Arbeit Karlsruhe, the Jobcenter Karlsruhe-Stadt, the Jobcenter Karlsruhe-Land, the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF). Furthermore, we are a member of the Bundesverband der Träger Beruflicher Bildung e.V. (BBB). (BBB) and a member of CyberForum e.V.

I.d.E. is a DEKRA certified training provider as well as a TELC language and examination institute.
